When Alice queried  the Mock Turtle about the standard Wonderland course of study, the first subjects he mentioned were "Reeling and Writhing.” Faced with the prospect of analytical reading or any kind of writing, many people feel that these words are apt descriptions of how they feel.

As a former high school English teacher of thirty-four years, I derived great satisfaction in helping my students get over this “page fright” and become more competent and confident in their abilities. The ability to read analytically and to write clearly and forcefully are valuable skills that can lead to success both in and out of the classroom.
